Our lawn maintenance services now focus on mowing and edging, spring cleanup, fall and leaf removal, and yard or property cleanup for Middle Tennessee homes. These services keep turf accessible, reduce debris buildup, and maintain a polished appearance through changing seasons. Goodin Lawncare runs full-property maintenance programs on a twelve month agreement, not one-off visits. On a typical property we are on site somewhere between 45 and 55 times a year, and closer to 55 to 60 once our lawn and plant health care partners are counted. That cadence is what keeps a property in the condition our clients expect rather than catching up on it every spring.

A typical year on a maintenance property

• Mowing & edging — about 32 visits, weekly through the growing season
• Landscape maintenance — a minimum of 18 visits, and weekly on some properties
• Leaf removal — 4 to 5 focused visits with a vacuum truck, plus ongoing cleanup through the seasonal transition
• Shrub and ornamental trimming — 2 to 5 visits, timed to the plant rather than the calendar. Azaleas are pruned once they finish blooming, hydrangeas once they finish theirs
• Irrigation — 2 to 4 visits covering start-up, a mid-season check and winterization. We check the lighting while we are there
• Core aeration & overseeding — once, in the fall
• Winter cleanup — once, in January or February, cutting back dormant plantings
• Mulch or pine straw — once a year, twice where a property wants a refresh before the holidays or an event

What we do ourselves, and what we do not

We keep core aeration and overseeding in house. Most maintenance companies hand it to their treatment provider. It is our one chance a year to set the lawn up for the season that follows, so we would rather be the ones doing it.

Lawn and plant health care is the opposite. We do not treat lawns ourselves. That work goes to two dedicated lawn and plant health care partners, matched to the property, because they do it better than we would. We stay responsible for the result and for coordinating it.

Who this is a fit for

Maintenance agreements generally start around $500 to $600 a month on a twelve month program. We no longer take mowing-only clients. The programs are built so that we are responsible for the majority of what happens on a property, which is the only way to keep the standard consistent and avoid depending on work someone else was supposed to do.
